zenon Basic Training (3 days)

The zenon Basic Training Course will give you an overview of the essential parts of zenon and its development environment. Working in a small group, you will get to know the basic structures in the zenon Editor and zenon Runtime.

 

Training process:

All training courses are designed to be interactive and guided by a moderator. You will have enough time during the course to apply the theory you have learned in practice. Training courses take place in our training rooms. Alternatively, upon request, one of our trainers can hold a training course at your office.

  • zenon: no prior knowledge required
  • Windows: basic knowledge is mandatory

Content:

The zenon Basic Training Course provides you with basic knowledge of zenon. You will follow a step by step process to learn how to use the zenon Editor and how you use it to build a project. After just a short amount of time, you will be able to start your project in the zenon Runtime. We will introduce you to a range of engineering options in zenon. You will gain in-depth knowledge of zenon and the different ways to apply various modules.

  • Introduction to the development environment
  • Description and operation of zenon Editor and zenon Runtime
  • Basic structure of a project and workspace
  • Configuration of data types, variables, and system functions
  • Explanation of screens, frames, and a range of screen elements and symbols

 

Day 2

  • Detailed presentation of system messages with Chronological Event List
  • Explanation of alarm administration with the Alarm Message List
  • Introduction to various screen types
  • Description of user administration
  • Overview of additional functions in the basic version, such as recipe management, allocations, and time control

 

Day 3

  • Explanation of the zenon network and Remote Transport
  • Configuration of a hierarchical project

zenon Supervisor Training (5 days)

The zenon Supervisor Training Course will give you an overview of the various functions in zenon. Working in a small group, you will get to know the basic structures in zenon.

In addition to the basic functions in zenon, you will also get to know the optional modules in zenon Supervisor and learn how to add these modules to your zenon project with little effort.

The zenon Supervisor Training course provides you with basic knowledge of zenon. You will follow a step by step process to learn how to use the zenon Editor and how you use it to build a project. After just a short amount of time, you will be able to start this project in the zenon Runtime. We will introduce you to a range of engineering options in zenon. You will gain in-depth knowledge of zenon and the different ways to apply various modules.

On the last two days of the training course, you will gain an overview of the optional modules of the zenon Supervisor. You will learn about the additional modules of the zenon Supervisor and how to apply them to your project.

The zenon Analyzer Basic Training course will provide you with an overview of the basic operations in the zenon Analyzer. Working in a small group, you will learn how the zenon Analyzer works with the zenon. You will gain an overview of the report generation function and the various types of report.

The zenon Analyzer Basic Training course provides you with basic knowledge of the zenon Analyzer. Following a step by step guide, you will learn how to use the various components and gain an overview of the various types of reports. After just a short amount of time, you will be able to create your own report.

The training course does not require participants to have an in-depth knowledge of zenon. We will explain the functions needed in the zenon Editor and the zenon Runtime for each report. You will gain basic knowledge of the zenon Analyzer and the different ways to apply various reports.

In the zenon Energy Edition Training course, you will complete a step by step process to learn about zenon Energy Edition: from engineering a colored network topology (ALC) to applying commands and possible protocol specifications. We will show you how to conduct topological troubleshooting with your network topology. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the zenon Energy Edition and its possible applications in the energy industry.

  • Using Command Processing including examples with the IEC61850 protocol
  • Explanation of automatic line coloring and topology
  • Overview of symbols for process technology elements

  • Explanation of topological, user defined and external interlockings

We will show you how the Historian and a special reporting tool in the zenon Pharma Edition can help you to successfully implement all the regulations for the pharmaceutical industry. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the zenon Pharma Edition and its possible applications.

The zenon Logic Training course provides you with basic knowledge of zenon Logic. Following a step by step process, you will learn how to use the zenon Logic workbench – that’s zenon Logic's development environment – and find out how it communicates with a PLC or the zenon Runtime. After a short amount of time, you will be able to build your own zenon Logic project and test it in the zenon Logic Runtime. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of zenon Logic, its possible applications, and the foundations of programming languages according to IEC 61131-3.

In a step by step process, you will learn how to store the data from your project or equipment in an archive. We will introduce you to the modules “Report Generator”, “Report Viewer”, and “Extended Trend”, and show you how you can use these to process your data. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the Historian in zenon and its possible applications.
